SCIENTIFIC AND RESEARCH WORK

The Highway Institute  fulfills  all  the  prerequisites  and  is registered to perform the scientific and research activity. These specific operations  are carried out through the preparation  of  scientific-developmental and scientific-research projects  within  the framework of the institute's basic activities.

The Highway Institute is collaborating with various faculties  in the country and abroad as regards  the  continuing  education  of personnel, as well as in organizing  the  post-graduate  studies, preparation of masters thesis and doctoral dissertations.

MEMBERSHIP IN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

In the year 2004, The Highway Institute became a full-fledged member of FEHRL (Forum of European Highway Research Laboratories), as the most competent establishment from Serbia & Montenegro.
The membership of this establishment in numerous international professional and scientific associations provides for an active cooperation of institute's experts. These organizations are as follows:

  • IRF - International Road Federation,
  • RILEM - International Union of Testing & Research Laboratories for Materials & Structures,
  • ACI - American Concrete Institute,
  • ISSMFE -International Society for Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering,
  • ISRM - International Society for Rock Mechanics,
  • IAEG - International Association for Engineering Geology & Environment.
