The Highway Institute is carrying out its activities through 7 technological units, i.e. Departments and Administration Services which is performing its assignments to fulfill the common interests of the Departments. The technological units are as follows:

• Pavement Design Department
• Geotechnics Department
• Building Materials Department

Staff

In The Highway Institute since its beginning till nowadays 1182 employees had worked so far. In the period thereof we have had 20 PhDs (9 of them attained the rank of University professors), 19 MSc holders, and couple of hundreds of engineers and technicians. By the middle of the year 2006 there were 450 employees.
