Nenad Tomić, Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Director

 

Valbona Samardžija, Bachelor of Laws Director of Legal Operations , Human Resources and Shared Services

Born in 1958 in Belgrade (Republic of Serbia), where she completed high school. She graduated from the Faculty of Law, the University of Belgrade in 1982, at the International Law Department. She passed her Bar Examination in 1994. Since October 2014, serves as the secretary of the Road Association of Serbia “Via-Vita”. Acquired the certification for the Procurement Officer in 2015. Valbona has been employed at the Highway Institute since 1984. She authored several articles on public procurements and application of legal issues in the road engineering.
She was appointed Director of Legal Operations, Human Resources and Shared Services in July 2013.
She is fluent in English and French.

Miloš Vujić, Bachelor of Economics, Director of Economic and Financial Operations

Born in 1961 in Gračanica (Bosnia and Herzegovina). He completed high school in the town of Lukavac, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Belgrade in 1986, at the Department of Banking. He has been working at the Highway Institute since April. Throughout his career Miloš worked at the Office for Plan and Analysis, served as the Head of Financial Operations and Chief of Economic and Financial Affairs. Presently, he holds the position of the President of the Company Assembly.
In July 2013, he was designated as Director of Economic and Financial Affairs.
Miloš is fluent in Russian.
 

Vladimir Babić, Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Director of International Business and Organizational Development

Born in 1978 in Užice (Republic of Serbia), where he completed high school. He graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Belgrade in 2005, at the Department of Roads, Airports and Railways. He enrolled in the postgraduate study program at the same department in 2005 while being hired as a teaching fellow for assisting engineering courses. In 2006, he was employed with the Highway Institute, at the Department for Environmental Protection within the Road Design Sector “Trasa”. Vladimir coordinated and assisted the preparation of more than 30 studies and designs of environmental protection. As an author or coauthor, he participated in the publication of over 10 scientific papers. Since 2009 he has been a member of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers
Vladimir was appointed Director of the International Business and Organizational Development in May 2014.
He is fluent in English and Russian.
 

Miroslav Zelenbaba, Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Director of Design Sector “Trasa”

Aleksandar Milentijević, Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Director of Technical Supervision Sector

Born in 1976 in Smederevo (Republic of Serbia), where he completed high school. He graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Belgrade, at the Department of Roads, Airports and Railways. He joined the Highway Institute in 2006, at the Supervision Department, where he was engaged in the activities of road maintenance and construction. Member of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers since 2009. Since 2015, he is a member of Professional Examination Commission for civil engineering.
In 2018, he became a member of the Management Board of the Road Association of Serbia “Via-Vita”.

Aleksandar was appointed Director of the Sector for Technical Supervision in 2014.
He is fluent in English.

 

Svetozar Milenković, Master of Science in Geology, Director of Geotechnical Engineering Sector

Born in 1967 in Zrenjanin (Republic of Serbia), where he completed high school. He graduated from the Faculty of Mining and Geology in Belgrade in 1997, at the Department of Geotechnics. He has been working at the Highway Institute since 1997, at the Department for Engineering Geology within the Geotechnical Engineering Sector. Being the chief engineer or associate, he participated in development of more than 50 projects. In 2001 and 2002, he was hired as an assistant for the courses: Land Reclamation in Geotechnical Engineering and Principles of Engineering Geology, at the Faculty of Mining and Geology, Department of Geotechnics. As an author or coauthor, he participated in the publication of over 70 scientific papers. Since 2002 he has been a member of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers and holds the license 391 and 491 issued by the Chamber.
In November 2014 Svetozar was appointed Director of the Geotechnical Engineering Sector.
He is fluent in English.
 

Ivica Vesić, Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Director of Building Materials Sector

Born in 1975 in Arandjelovac (Republic of Serbia). He completed the Technical School in Belgrade as well as the College of Civil Engineering and Geodesy in 2000. He graduated in 2015 from the Faculty of Construction Management at the university “UNION – Nikola Tesla” at the department of Civil Engineering, completing his Master Academic studies in 2017, for the study program – Organization, Technology and Building Management. From 2001, he worked at the construction company Gamat Ltd. in which he held the position of Technical Director since 2005. He joined the Highway Institute in 2008 at the Supervision Department, where he was engaged in the activities of road maintenance. From 2014, Ivica was the Head of the Department of Geotechnical Monitoring and Control. He has been a member of the Serbian Chamber of Engineers since 2009.
He was appointed Director of the Building Materials Sector in October 2017.
